Decorate a 10 inch square lunch plate made from my dark brown stoneware clay body. The surface is primed with porcelain white slip ready to paint with a brilliant and abundant palette of underglazes. Bring your own inspiration or use one of my patterns to make your own one of a kind art work good enough to eat off of. Register as soon as possible. Space is limited and I need to have time to make your plate!
2018 will be the market's 28th year! The Ithaca Artist Market fills all 88 booths at the Ithaca Farmers Market with regional fine artists in a unique, once-a-year, can't miss event. Over 85 established visual artists will be juried into the Market to showcase and sell a stunning variety of some of the best fine art in the region. Admission is free, and visitors to the market have the unique opportunity to meet and talk with all these artists in one place and to buy work of all shapes and sizes.

Each selected artist creates 50 items for show and sale in this one weekend fundraising event. With over 20 artists participating there is sure to be a little something for everyone. The 7th annual Western New York Pottery Festival is a juried, clay-exclusive show that consists of over 20 regional and national ceramic artists. The purpose is not only for artists to show and sell their work – but to also interact with, and educate, the public. Events will consist of: paint your own raku firing, demonstrations, Clay Olympic competitions Saturday and Sunday, and wood kiln unloading at noon on Saturday. Kid’s clay activities will take place throughout the entire weekend.

The Clay Studio National is a biannual exhibition show casing the full range of ceramic art being made in the United States now. Through this juried exhibition we highlight a diverse range of work, from functional to sculptural, and from traditional production techniques to cutting edge manufacturing technology. Our esteemed guest juror this year is Beth Ann Gerstein, Executive Director of the American Museum of Ceramic Art.

Design your own unique plate or bowl using a rainbow of underglaze colors on a pre-made clay lunch plate or salad bowl. No clay or painting experience required. Your functional artwork is fired in the kiln and returned 1-2 weeks later. It is food safe, dishwasher and microwave safe too! Ages 14 and up. Registration is required.
